Hello BMW fans,

Post your 2021 BMW 5 Series in Tanzanite Blue!

Here is my story:

I just recently placed my order for a 2021 BMW M550i xDrive Sedan in Tanzanite Blue II Metallic. I am upgrading from a 2011 BMW 535i xDrive Sedan. I have done a lot of research about the new car, but I was wondering if there are any small details that I should know. If you would like my build link, here it is.

First of all congratulations and Tanzanite Blue is a great color! Not sure what is included in the packages you have selected as I am Europe based, but I recommend to include a leather dashboard and ceramic elements as this will give you a real premium feeling.

I envy you for the engine.....unaffordable in Europe. Just got my 530i xDrive delivered for just over USD 100 K...... The M550i will require another USD 50 K.

I hate how the cars in Europe are so much more because if tariffs. I didn't add those options, but I did make sure to upgrade the leather to the Mocha Nappa Leather. Thanks again!

I’ve got a 540i touring in Tanzanite Blue - it’s an amazing colour. Quite subdued in cloudy weather, but it really pops in the sun.

That Tanzanite Blue looks great on your touring. I also opted for the red brake calipers. I think it adds some nice contrast to the car.

Stunning. If I could get a touring here in Australia I would have done so. Nonetheless, I an excited to have my 2022 model on a ship from Germany heading here for Mid April. My question to the group please is regarding sorting paint protection when it arrives. I

Any advice on what to get? Any particular ceramic coating? Or some limited PPF on the car

I haven't done any to my car, so I'll leave that up to the others on what to do

Hello medic_steve. I have PPF on hood, bumper, fenders, and 4 doors. When car is washed, I noticed that it dulls the Tanzanite sparkle a bit. Had to trade-off protecting from chips/dings vs. amazing bare metal look of TB II.
