I'm at the races too, but damn, so far I think these Texas country bumpkins managing the facilities need a crash course in logistics and crowd management. The shuttles suck and/or are non-existent, and the lack of places to piss for a crowd of 100,000+ people is shocking if not borderline cruel and unusual. Already contemplating appointment with the urologist next week for the impending bladder infection, and possibly the podiatrist - according to the wife's Apple watch, we're at 18 miles since yesterday. Time will tell if my feet can recover. Pro tip - avoid parking lot F like HIV.

Yeah Bottas pulled a blinder...usually the Mercs save just a little in reserve for the second run to ensure they have a good first lap on the books.
Looks like Bottas went for broke on his first run and then Hamilton (as most everyone else) found that the track was a touch slower for the second runs and couldn't improve.
Having said that, Hamilton's first lap was a bit sketchy....From his position he is going to struggle to get through the first corner unscathed.

HAM and Wolff are talking out of their asses again. They're claiming that Ferrari lost some straight line speed in COTA because of the concerns around their engine. It looks like they didn't notice that LEC outqualified HAM using an older spec engine and without any practice on Saturday.

....has taken a purely defensive approach by starting P5 today, knowing he only needs to finish P8 (or P9 + fast lap) to win the WDC today; perhaps HAM's view from P5 will keep him out of the customary Turn 1/Lap 1 bumper-car madness....allowing "you've gotta be in in to win it" to prevail.
