Individual paint info
Looking for pricing info for 5 series individual paint options. Also how much time did it add to delivery? I know it likely depends on the paint (not looking for frozen) and where you live perhaps.
Anything is appreciated. Thanks! |

If you choose one of the optional BMW individual paint options listed in their list of colors they're $1950.00 or so. Pick one other than that, exa Ferrari red, and it's $5200.00. But I have seen a recent individual pick on an M5 and it was $5000.00.
But, make that two people looking for the same info on delivery time. My 2018 M550 took nine weeks from ordering to driving it away from the dealer. Considering individual paint on my 2020 M550 order and would also love feedback on the additional wait time involved. Last edited by Rotherd31; 06-16-2019 at 12:05 PM.. |

I ordered my M550i on August 25 with Azurite Black Metallic.
Received allocation/production number on September 10, PW45 scheduled (early November). Car was built on schedule - started production last week of October and was on its way to Bremerhaven by Nov 4. After that, it was simply waiting for a ship and then I had an additional delay because I was doing PCD and they were closed for Christmas/New Years. I didn't actually get my car until mid-January, so almost a 5 month wait. Based on what my CA told me, selecting individual paint added 6-8 weeks to my order. PCD added another 4 weeks or so just due to scheduling. He had other orders taken around the same time as mine with no individ paint or PCD and apparently they took delivery in October. All of that said, Azurite Black is an incredible color and for me was absolutely worth the wait! |

Thanks for the info Gooselee! So basically double the wait time, which sounds like to you at least, worth the wait. Probably would be for me too, not to mention 70 additional horses over my 2018!

Definitely worth the wait! I've heard that sometimes individual paint only adds 3-4 weeks, or even less. Apparently individual paint is only done on certain PWs so if your initial allocation is not one of those weeks already, it must be delayed to the next time they are doing individual paint. That's essentially the delay.

Well, I pulled the trigger yesterday. I grabbed my dealer's first 2020 M550 allocation. They gave me a great deal on my 2018 M550 in trade if I don't end up selling it privately. PW 37 (Sept 9), Rosso Corsa (Ferrari Red) !! Doing my same Cognac interior. I figure it should be in my hands by mid Oct. To say I'm excited is the understatement of 2019!!

Purchased. We had that discussion about incentives. He says they have no info on incentives as yet, but as he said, I am under no obligation to purchase it if I am not happy with the incentives. Time will tell. I suspect I will know by the first of July, if not sooner. There are currently $7000.00 on the 2019's. $5000.00 from financial services and $2000.00 loyality.

Well, when you're driving an M5, you need the car to make a statement announcing its presence and that green does it! What green is that? Reminds me of 1969 GM rally green
