To confirm - the customizable settings I referred to are for the rear seat warmers, not the center stack vents; you are correct to assume so.

Still, I probably discover something new from a tech perspective every month with this car. I live in Colorado but acquired the car from a dealer in Pittsburgh....I was going to have it delivered to me but a buddy offered to take a ride with me (he lives in Toronto) so I flew out and we drove it back to CO together....that was awesome from the perspective that we are both longtime gearheads and we each took turns from the passenger seat going through all the various settings, configurations, etc. Yet still I am discovering new things...

I'm so slow to adapt with new tech I'll be learning new things on this car 5 years from now.

4 zone climate control isn't offered in the US market on anything but the M5. Some customers have been able to special order it when building their car.

I was supposed to get it, but it didn't get approved in time before status 150 hit.
wait, so the US market could do an individual order for 4 zone climate control?

Yes, several posters here had been able to add it working with their CA. Not sure that is still an "unlisted" option however.

Great color combo - i have the same, but with fineline ridge trim. On the options, some are great, some not really used... I have every option except HK & Rear Entertainment. I don't have the 4-Zone Climate either, because my order was past the change point when I found out it was possible to get it (via this forum.) The one combo that i was able to get that i really like the look of is the Alcantara roof/leather dash. Really nice... I played with the Night Vision for the first month, but that's about it. Same with Remote Parking function.
Although i get the warnings in the heads up display, the headlights are so good that I see the people/animals before the alarm. I love the DHP and like the ceramic controls more than I thought I would. I don't use Apple Car Play or the Gesture Control, but my wife likes them. That said, I would love this car as a stripper M550i! It is a blast to drive. Well, i might have to add just one option - the full digital dash...

would imagine NV is probably more useful where there are lots of deer and twisty roads where things are harder to see maybe?

That was my assumption as well, but, not really the case. I live in deer country way outside the city & drive hilly, twisty roads every day (night.) Again, the headlights are really good. I have yet to be "saved" by the Night Vision system. Now, one might be able to argue for it in a city situation where pedestrians are common in the roadways?

I actually have been warned once by the NVS of a pedestrian beyond visual range of the headlights....I was driving the car through IOWA on the Interstate (worst speed traps in the nation!) at night when the NVS detected a person in the middle median. Turns out it was a state trooper with a radar gun standing outside his car! Plus it was a construction zone - thank goodness I was being good at the time.

I don't know. The way deer jump onto the road from out of nowhere, I'm skeptical.

By the time it shows up in Night Vision, it's too late...

I think it's better to pick up pedestrians on the road. By the way, I do think it's a great feature if you can fit it within your budget.

I thought NV highlight for you, i.e. you don't pay attention to NV, it flash what it "detect" to you so you're not actively just staring at the screen.

the only reason I thought about ordering NV was because some guy lived in upstate made comment about how NV saved him from deer twice in a year already.

The blue and white combo just goes so well although I saw many with black and mocha that still looked nice. I have little kids so we'll see how it wears

Got the full digital dash. Glad it was an option for 2019. As much as the hybrid dash does the same job, just knowing that it isn't the full version would bother me. Although I read that most people just love their HUD and it becomes a non-issue

You're right though, my test drives of the M550i just put a smile on my face. So I think it will definitely be worth the wait.

So the car started production and is now at the paint shop. Can't wait! Sorry to keep bumping this thread. I'm sure a lot of people went through the same...

Congrats! No worries about bumping the thread - I think we all understand the excitement. I certainly did the same during my build!

Car is on the way to the port. Hopefully it arrives by the first week of April!

Still at the port. : Hopefully it leaves soon! I might call the genius tomorrow. Every time I see a G30 on the street I get more excited but at the same time get antsy!

I never realized how much this wait could change my life lol!! I am seriously disgusted with myself of how much time I spend thinking about, looking, searching about my car!!

My production has finally started yesterday!
You are almost there, I don't know if the pain gets worse the closer you are to getting your car?

I wish they could finish production in couple days and get to the port where your car is so that they can come together!!

Wouldn't that be cool! I called the Genius today and they said hopefully within a week it should be on a boat. Normally vehicles have only sat at the port for up to 2 weeks. So hope it gets out before next Friday!

Would be really cool if they had a way to do this. Certainly those cargo ships aren't the most comfortable accommodations...although as I have been guilty of going into my garage a couple times just to get a quick heated massage nap.....

M550i ordered

Any luck yet?

My car entered quality check this morning.
I'm not sure if the factory works on weekends but I'm really excited and can't wait till it's dispatched.

Keeping my fingers crossed, still hoping they can finish up and get to the port with your car.
I know it's highly unlikely but all I can do is
Hope :

Chances are high that we'll probably end up on the same ship at this rate. My car hasn't budged in 2 weeks.

I'm glad yours is moving ahead though!
