Might be worth popping the question on here about coding?
Fuel Economy is actually better than expected but didn't expect very much. Comparing our different numbers shows that I will get 370 miles on one full gas tank while you will come 430 miles. As long as I don´t drive to much in the city or too much kick down its quite impressive. On long journeys with 50 mph I can even manage 450 miles per gas tank.

Not feeling comfortable about coding something myself. Maybe should ask my dealer if it is something they can fix.

Thank you again!

Not custom - just option '423 - Velour Floor mats' from the factory.
The lettering/logo in the middle was the detailer, who did the new car prep, being clever with a vacuum cleaner and a stencil to mark it in the fabric for when I picked it up. Kind of like how they make stripes in lawns by mowing the other way.
Disappeared on first journey.

Don't tell me that!
I most likely would have gone for an M550i if it came in a touring, but made the trade offs of fuel economy and practicality of boot.

That range is the same as my old little F20 M135i (albeit the fuel tank on that was 1/3 less than yours).

This one, the 530d, will get 500 miles without any thoughtfulness at all towards eco driving including a few stop-starts in traffic. A long motorway run even at French autoroute speed limit (around 81mph) should get it over 600 miles.

Totally understand. Only had one thing coded before and that was Speed Limit Indicator on my G01 X3. That was done by a pro, with great reviews, who did it in person.

Not sure if a dealer will be able to do something non-standard like that, but might be wrong.

Got the running-in done partly with a trip to Rotterdam towards the end of last year.

Restrictions permitting, hoping to have the beefy B57 waft the family across a few more European countries over the year.

Not really showing off the delights of Rotterdam architecture (there are some good ones there) - but the light showing of the SanRemo green paint nicely.

Just come from a G01 X3 on the same platform but wanted to move back to a regular car + get the colour combo I really wanted.

Chose the 530d as it makes a nice rumble for a diesel (like a Mark 1 Range Rover V8), plus has more torque than a Lamborghini Huracan and can beat a Ferrari Testarossa to 60, based on how quickly Joe Achilles got it there. Oh, and it can also do 600-700 miles on a tank (in case of a Mad Max style apocalypse scenario kicking in).

Aware this might be a bit of grandad spec for some, but got inspired by this old E34.

New car prep by Birklean.

Nice. If there was a Touring available, I may well have done the same.

Hope the wait isn't too traumatic.

Sorry - but you may not get them on screen like that from factory.

igelkotten82 has British Racing Green on an M550i and gets the car as silver on the screens.

I think I may have got the green because SanRemo green is a std colour on other models.

Ah yeah, just scrolled further and saw igelkotten82 post. I know my build was submitted with Alpine White, then the Individual paint is added in a separate section (not exactly sure what the dealer's build terminal looks like).

If you've got it displaying a non-standard paint for a 5 series, though, reckon I could probably code it for San Remo at least. Close enough

I'd guess that too.

Should have a choice of SanRemo Green or the Alpina Green I would have thought.

Thank you.

Not a political statement, but er, #makegreengreatagain

Alas, I think they just don't sell. People get nervous on residual values.
Congratulations, looks absolutely stunning. Reminds me of Verde Ermes

Thanks!

Yeah, it can depend on the light.
Verde Ermes tends to stay lighter in dull light, whereas Sanremo green will go darker like British Racing Green or Oxford Green.

Here's a shot with a Verde Ermes G80 in the foreground.

In bright conditions SanRemo does pop out though, like Verde Ermes.
And under showroom/car park lights goes different again, like Malachite Green.

In my case it was over a third less $$$ to go with SanRemo over Verde Ermes, as SanRemo is a production colour on the 4 series.
So still a special order individual, but a cheaper special order individual.

After looking at both I like San Remo better than Verde Ermes. It's also nice that under showroom lighting it looks more like Malachite Green (I am prejudiced, love Malachite Green). I just saw the photo in the underground parking lot as well and see how it looks like Malachite Green. Its absolutely gorgeous.

Based on having BRG under darker lighting and Malachite under a lot of light is probably the best of both worlds.

Hope you enjoy it in good health!

A bit of a photo dump showing the Sanremo Green paint under different light conditions on a recent roadtrip to Normandy in Northern France.

Fuel economy was better than my old G01 X3 30d + lots of giggles for all the family with 650Nm of torque pulling away from the Péage (toll booths on the autoroute). It just wafts across big distances.

Got some show plates as well.
