Hmmm...California is monitoring 8400 people for the virus. That being said I'm sure any one with Flu like symptoms is on that list.

Well, I think we all can agree where this is going to end up.

Thanks, China!

Hmm, so of a sample size of 472, 42% required hospitalization. At least they all had health coverage. Meanwhile, in the US, 46% of our population is uninsured or under-insured. But I'm sure it'll just be the 44% that have good insurance that will be hit by this....

Mostly bc of OBAMA care.

I doubt of you are knowledgeable enough to know this; but anyone no matter how poor can walk into any emergency room in the country and get treated. So now you know!!! Glad I could help you.

Yes, I have talked to people in the know at my company and know of some of the plans we are doing locally via my company/local hospitals/government etc. It will be a fluid thing as the saying goes.

The HHS/obviously other government agencies always have standard plans they tweak for things like this etc. Unfortunately the leader of the country keeps undermining them publically every step of the way.
I actually answered the question. I then asked you another one which took you quite a few posts to answer. If you ask me a question, I attempt to answer it without obfuscation, editorial or deflection. I may editorialize thereafter, but I answer the question.

I am pretty sure it was still 34% total. 8% required ICU, 26% did not.

What is going to happen doesn't matter about insurance.

As the infection spreads the ICU will fill up. Overflow will have patients in hallway beds and step down units will effectively become ICU extensions. The ER will be packed with people concerned they have the virus when they likely have a cold. Infection will spread to them during said visit. Elective surgeries will be rescheduled, people sick and injured with non-virus related stuff will be squeezed in as best as possible and likely be infected over the course of their treatment. Overextension of the system will lead to shortages of various supplies and staffing concerns. It will really suck. If you get sick stay home if you can unless you find it difficult to breathe.

This is what an above average flu season looks like, H1N1 required a lot of cancellation of non-essential surgeries. That year sucked. So many people in the hospital. Capacity normally was about 500 beds and we ran over 700 almost that entire season. The other hospitals in the city were about the same. Genetic lottery. I watched a firefighter who was a big healthy dude wither away to nothing and die over the course of about 6 weeks as the virus ate his body and lungs. Flu is no joke and this appears to be much worse for the lower respiratory tract.

Recognize this?

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

If not...

I actually drill down and ask you repeated questions because you don't answer questions directly. I have to repeatedly ask the same question to get an answer from you. I even transition to closed-ended questions to get an answer from you. This only works rarely.

"Accuse the other side of that which you are guilty."

Nicely done.

You are your sanctimonious bullshit should shut up. You are nothing more than a hypocrite. Don't lecture about the rule of law, when you refuse to answer questions about your own behavior.

Your xenophobia is showing.
