The time has come to move on from my 2018 M550i x-drive. I’ve owned this car since 2020 and have treated her like a member of the family. In fact, this is the longest I’ve ever owned one car.
As a late(ish) 40-something, I’ve owned well over 40 cars in my life. This is actually my eighth(!) 5 series and it’s unquestionably my favorite. (Just ahead of my 2013 M5.) Quite simply, the G30 M550i the perfect blend of luxury, performance and reliability. The stats: • Raleigh, NC area • Lien-free title in hand • 79,800 miles. Will go up, but work from home so not a ton • Alpine white exterior • Front-end paint protection film • Black interior w/ aluminum trim • Clean CarFax, no accidents, no stories, no bullsh*t • Perforated Nappa Leather w/ Luxury Seating Package (heated, ventilated, massage) • Driving Assistance Package • Driving Assistance Plus Package (Active cruise, lane departure, collision avoidance) • Head’s up display • Adaptive suspension • Bowers and Wilkins • Soft close doors • Executive package • Power rear sunshade, manual rear window shades • Apple CarPlay • Gesture Control As far as I know, the only options this car doesn’t have are night vision and RES. There are approximately 1,000 miles left on the dealer’s extended warranty. It’s through Hendrick Autoguard (platinum) and mirrors the original 4/50 factory warranty. This warranty can be used nationwide and with any mechanic you want. It won’t last long but it should give the buyer some piece of mind. To be clear, I’m not selling because of the warranty expiring, I’m selling because it’s finally time for a Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo. I’ve just had BMW Southpoint in Durham go through the entire car to make sure it’s ship shape. They even encouraged me to take the sale pictures in their service garage. I absolutely encourage and welcome your private party inspection. So what makes this car a unicorn? In this case, it’s the goodies. I gave a lot of thought to the mods on this car, and I’m confident you won’t find one this clean, this sexy, or this desirable at anywhere near this price point. The Mods: • Custom ordered 21” HRE P101s (brushed aluminum finish) on Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires (probably about 5k miles left on the rubber, depending on driving style). • M-sport brakes (Brembo), calipers removed and professionally powder coated in McLaren lava yellow. • EBC red stuff dustless brake pads (no squeaking, either). • Carbahn stage 1 tune (HP at the wheel increased from 424HP to 532HP per Carbahn). • Dinan axle-back exhaust w 4” matte black quad exhaust tips. • Professionally-painted gloss black roof (not a wrap). • OEM gloss black grilles • OEM m5 carbon fiber spoiler. • LCI NAV display (larger, better resolution) fully coded with no errors. • Full coding (can share more details, but includes auto start stop override, anti-dazzle, remote trunk close, etc.). • eBay special front lip (custom painted to give more aggressive from fascia look than OEM). • eBay special M5-style gloss rear diffuser • Custom-wrapped door handles (chrome trim covered) and mirrors • Custom-cut M-performance rocker panel vinyl wraps. I didn’t like the OEM matte finish so had my guy make gloss versions. • IND-painted gloss black exterior trim pieces and model emblems • IND Alpine White painted trim piece in between grilles • 3M window tint all around • I might be forgetting some things, will update later if I missed anything Known issues: There are ZERO mechanical issues with this car. Full service records available. The car has almost 80k miles. There are a few very small rock chips on the hood and front bumper, to be expected. There are also two small scratches on the interior trim shown in pics. That’s literally it. SALE PRICE: This is a tough one. Trade in value around $27.5k. Private party value is somewhere between $31-34k. Now, I’ve owned enough of these cars to know that you never get all of your mod-bucks back. And I’m fine with that. But if anyone can find a car THIS clean, that’s THIS heavily optioned, that looks and drives like THIS… at anywhere near THIS price point? Show me. I’ll eat my shoe on a livestream. SALE PRICE: $37,500.00. Not in a rush to sell. And I’m not especially interested in parting the car out UNLESS you’re local and you pay to have everything professionally swapped from my car to yours by my private mechanic. Even then, unless you’re coming with perfect 668M wheels, I’m not trading you the HREs plus cash. Overall, it’s just not worth my time or energy to remove the parts and ship to you. That’s about it. Please feel free to text me 919-99-eight-988-five if you’re interested. Thank you for laboring through this lengthy listing. Many more pics to come in follow up post! Wow, what a beauty - and I'm not even a "white car guy." I hope its new owner cares for it as much as you obviously have.
