2020 M550 Tune / Res Delete
Hey all. I just got a 2020 M550 and I am enjoying it a ton (First BMW). I am looking to get a little more power out of it but Im having a hard time finding a tune for the new 550 because of the N63TU3 Motor.
Anyone have any recommendations? Also thinking about doing a res delete. Do I do both and just have the shop weld in a straight pipe? Thanks! |

I have a 2019 550 with RK tune stage 2. It is pretty stable and fast (the fastest and safest option i know. Also cheaper than DME tune). With your car you can get up to 600 whp according to RK (mine's around 550whp since its TU2). I am running an ARM downpipe and a full res delete. Full res delete sounds the best and if you are doing
a stage 2 then I recommend full res delete. My shop clamped the downpipe but they welded the new straight res pipe. Clamp if your car is leased or planning to sell it in a few years so you can return it to stock quick and easy. |

Go with Carbahn tune! It's a download no piggyback system. Total cost for the tune is 1250 and for additional 1250 you get to keep your bmw warranty. Insane power 698hp 702 lbf. I would not do res delete! Spend extra cash and get the either catback or axle back exhaust. Why spend 70-80k on the vehicle and do Mickey Mouse s...t to it like butchering that exhaust.
