2018 BMW 530e iPerformance US Pricing Guide!

Hi all,

For anyone who's been waiting impatiently for this as I have been, here is the order guide for the 2018 BMW 530e iPerformance, enjoy! Looks good - some packages are reconfigured and actually my config on a 530e ended up cheaper than that of a 530i, your mileage may vary (pun intended).

No 704 M sport suspension, so I assume this thing isn't meant to be sporty at all.

Investigating... I did actually just test drive the Model S again today. Hard decision.

I was surprised how nice the interior of Model S has gotten since I test drove it in 2014. But little things still aren't flushed out like.. when I turn off the car the power tilt steering wheel doesn't automatically raise so I can get out. And there's no actual way to completely turn off that stupid screen. That seems like a simple things but still annoyances.

I really want to know how BMW's simi-autonomous driving compares. The i3's system isn't great.

The rear view camera is standard, but somehow BMW managed to make the levels of driving assistance packages and options even more confounding. Well done.

Haven't tried it on the G30 yet but on the F10, the adaptive cruise with stop and go is very good. The lane departure can be a bit annoying, so I drive without it but it's lane departure warning anyway, doesn't get you back in the lane like the new G30, so that remains to be seen.

On the i3 it seems like the system shuts it self down at least once every time I try to use it. Even when condition are fine it just seems to be a little unstable. I'm guessing because its a single camera system and wondering if the G30 will be any better.

Even though the 530e was released as a MY 2018, will there be changes as the other models change over to 2018 MY? An earlier press release said that wireless high voltage charging would be released in 2018. The rear view camera is now standard, which will likely change cost allocations between base and options packages. Anyone know when/if there will be a revised order guide?

My CA hadn't even heard of the wireless charging thing when I sent him the link and inquired. I guess nothing official as far as release dates/pricing has been released yet, at least not to my dealer in NM.

Same for me. CA had never heard of it--referred him to the presser. Wonder if it will be a port or dealer installed item?

I'm running into the problem where I've talked to a couple dealers about ordering a car, and some are quoting me prices based on the July 1 revision, and some aren't. For the ones that aren't, it sorta feels like I could agree to a price, only for them to change it when they actually order the car, because packages are all switched around now. Is there any possibility they could still be ordering from the old prices? I wouldn't mind that, honestly, as there's a couple packages in the new pricing I could happily do without...

As I read an article (which I cannot find now... ), it seemed the only required purchase was for the portion of the charging system that ties to your household power (likely 240VAC @ 30A?). It inferred that the 2018 MY had the inductive coupler on the car side installed as a standard item.

I'll keep looking for that article.

WoW! that would be terrific. Could buy a post 7/1/17 car and just wait for the inductive charger to show up at dealership. I would think that the "new" 2018 530e cars would be arriving soon (unless they are being done post the July/Aug German shutdown period) and we may know.

Anyone have an updated guide? Seems BMW has been screwing with a lot of the packages and this attached guide is no longer valid on some of the packages and/or combinations...

The existing ordering and pricing guides are still right on. I used them to spec my order and it came out exactly per the guides. My order was just several weeks ago.
