Couldn't agree more! It's the little details that make all the difference.

Great track! Last weekend saw the AMG team there testing the still disguised AMG GT4.

I wonder how the size of the car is compared to the M6GT3?

I just came back from GTLM race where BMW is using M6 platform. BMW came in 3rd and 5th. 1st and 2nd were Pcars 911. The gap between 2nd and 3rd cars was huge that one would never be able to catch up. While BMW did good, it is obvious M6 is just too large and heavy. Why not use M4 platform? What is M8 for on a race track? It is going to be another larger and heavier car....

The M6 has been winning races elsewhere. As far as why not use the M4,this has been discussed before, and obviously there is a reason. Could it possibly be that the V8 can reliably make the horsepower, whereas the S55 would have to be tuned up, to a point where it may not be as reliable in endurance racing?
And since this is a production based class we are talking about, there is no BMW M3/M4 being produced today with a V8. And I doubt a waiver could be obtained like the Z4M GT3 which had a v8.

The wing looks terrible. Like it was designed by an intern with 10 minutes left before beer o clock.

Would be cool if the race car had a naturally aspirated V...fill in the blank.

Was recently at the Sportscar rave in Mosport Canada and the only cars that sounded good were those Porsche 911 RSRs....basically everything else with their turbo engines sounded terrible

I think engine/exhaust acoustics is at the bottom of the priorities list when designing a race car.

No doubt but it does play into the "show" aspect/getting people to watch/come to the track...look at all the complaints at F1 since the switch to hybrid turbo V6 configuration and Formula 1 wanting to address that for the new engine package for 2021...so although I agree with you...but it still is important

I see where you are coming from. But in this case it would(should) be the objective of the body setting the regulations for the series. Once the rules are set the team is trying to make the fastest car possible within the budget available.
There is no champagne for the best sounding car.

Looks like a more expensive M6. The GTE and the street version. I was more excited about a more sleek rear engine R8/NSX competitor than a larger M6. The concept looks more luxurious than sporty.

The M6 GT3 has been a bust of a program. Gets shellacked by the likes of the RSR, Ford GT, and 488. I miss the Z4 GT3 days at least i enjoyed watching it run against the big boys.

Rant over.

It's actually a little smaller than a 6 series according to the info that's been given.

Shellacked? They're in second place in team and driver championship in GTLM.
