Should make no difference; your dealer is marking up the money factor. I’d insist they offer you the BMW rate or shop elsewhere.

Thanks for the input. The dealers around here are horrible. I’ve called a few and they are not willing to give more than 2% discount (which includes rebates and incentives). I reached out to a broker. I’ll keep you guys updated

wholesale and invoice are the same thing-- it says "wholesale invoice" on it.

This does not sound attractive at all. I saw your note about not giving more than 2% off, so this seems in-line with that but this is basically 5% MSRP for a car that's used. I'd try not to accept that low off MSRP for a brand new car. :-|

Century BMW in SC

We just leased a 2021 530i xdrive, and dealt with Ian at Century BMW in SC. The whole process could not have been easier. I was dealing with several dealerships, prior to contacting Ian. I found his info on here. On our first call, within 15 minutes, the price quoted was substantially lower than the other dealerships, and he had found the perfect car.

Ian is great to work with - very upfront and honest, and gave the best price. I will definitely reach out to him for our next car.

Herb Chambers in Boston. We ended up getting a 2020 7 Series for a lower payment than a 5 series. It was a no brainer.

They are ripping you off with their price. I have a local dealer came up to me with that BS. It didnt take me too much time to walk off from there.

Looks like Lucid and Tesla lowering their price is going to affect 5 series? What are your thoughts?

Jason, did you update the original post with the November numbers? Is there a way we can view October vs. November walk in terms of incentives?

Jason, you have been in the business a while. Do you think there might be better incentives for December? I know you can’t say for sure. Just trying to get your professional opinion.

I have no special crystal ball and not to answer for Jason but my client adviser kept thinking to not even bother with November and seems to think December will bring some juicier than the last several months. My car should come in December so I am hoping this is the case myself. 😀🤞

Heck yeah, mine is coming in late Jan. My dealership would have to ask BMWFS to honor October rates anyway as my lock would be expiring, so it'd be great if December was even better.

Yea I was wondering about this myself. I see everywhere it says the incentives are locked in for 60 days but the dealer says even if it takes longer they will still be able to give the older rate if it's better. It seems from October->November->December it seems rates either stay the same or get better so I guess it's not a big deal but yeah... not sure what would actually happen in a scenario where mid-Dec came around and earlier Oct rate was better than Nov/Dec.

Nov was the same as Oct, except no lease-to-lease credit ($500). That would impact my current numbers. I'm really hoping/trusting the dealer would be able to make it happen, though if it came down to it, I'm sure they'd be able to make the numbers work over a few hundred dollars on a 90K car.

Spoke with my finance manager today, and she said Nov was the same except the $500, so to just keep October. Said December should be better, though in my experience they lock with BMWFS for 90 days, and I've heard other dealers tell me if I'm fine with another hard pull on credit they can extend the lock for another 60-90 days if needed for production timing.

But to your point, I doubt they'll jerk you around over $2k or less on a $90k custom build.

I feel like they won't affect too much since 5 series is in a different market. 5 series offers much better materials, building quality and luxury experience , while those EV manufactures like Tesla are targeting at more geeky customers. However, I think they do affect 3 series for sure.
