Tuning / Modifications and Warranties
I know I am new to this forum, but I keep seeing lots of posts about getting a piggy back or getting a tune and what happens to the warranty. If you all are not aware of the Magnuson-Mott Act you should read up on it. An aftermarket part of modification cannot be the reason a warranty claim is denied. If that is the case, it is the dealerships responsibility to prove that was the reason for failure. Granted some people do wild things with their cars and failures happen, but for those who may have not been aware, you may just want to at the very least understand more of your rights. I tried to find an article that makes it a little easier but you should never be too scared to take a modified car in for warranty work unless of course instead of bending rules, you are breaking them off. Just something to be aware of.
