Best coding app/software

Hi guys,

I have my OBD/ENET cable on the way and I'm wondering what app/software gives you the most coding options? There are tons of them.

I can use android/iphone or mac app. Windows are a bit more complicated for me so E-SYS seems like the least feasible for now, but I'd like to learn it in the future.

I have 530d xdrive 2017 and so far I'd like to:

Start in adaptive mode by default.
Disable auto start/stop permanently (or start in the last settings)
Coding related to a battery swap.
Read diagnostic errors.

The first two are easily coded using Bimmercode. ProTool Coding can easily do the AS/S but last I checked, default driving mode requires Expert Mode in that tool. I believe that the other two require a diagnostic app like Bimmerlink or ProTool Diagnostics. Maybe the Bimmercode / Bimmerlink combo would work best in your case.

I have both BimmerCode and BimmerLink for iPhone, and use eNet cable with adapter for iPhone. I can confirm that on your list, 1 & 2 you can use BimmerCode, and for 3 & 4 that BimmerLink would work. The apps are easy to use with lots of YouTube vids on various coding topics.
