Hi,

I changed the EPS on my G31 520d due to damage.

ISTA-D diagnostics shows 2 error messages.

EPS coding: Control unit is not coded.
EPS coding: The coding data does not match the vehicle.

Can I code it, according to this video?
Will it work or is it not the same?
Or some other ideas?, I can also pay for help.

How would one go about coding this? My eps broke and I'm trying to source a used one instead of spending 7k at the dealer but I'm not sure if a used unit would even work. I am told they are FSC locked.

EPS (Electric Power Steering) are NOT locked by FSC.
Simply replace, code, initialize - work done.

hi, I changed the EPS, the new one costs a lot of money, I bought it second hand for 600€
I followed the EPS codes from the factory, the label is EPS.
I simply replaced it, it worked for me even without coding,but the coding must be done so that everything works correctly.
