Wider wheels on 540i?
I've got 635 style wheels (picture included below). I believe they are 19x8, based on what I found online. Does anyone know how much wider I could go with new wheels? Also, what is the largest tire size?
Basically, I'm trying to determine if I could decrease tire gap and get a more aggressive stance by switching tires and wheels instead of looking at spacers and springs. I don't necessarily have a problem using spacers, but I don't think I want to lower the car or change the stock suspension. If I could widen the stance with spacers and put larger tires on existing wheels, that's something I'd look into as well. I'm new to exploring all this, so any input/advice/experience is appreciated.

Thanks. I should have specified, I'd like to stick with 19" rims (new or the current ones). The roads in my area suck and I'm afraid 20's would get destroyed.
