Valve lifter line is a lot of milling hardened steel, turning, grinding with abrasive wheels, small tolerance honing, special form milling, as well as front/back chamfering on multiple through holes.

Here's a pic of the machine (dude in blue tooling up for next job), and some progression parts. The third station literally smashes that little coin into that whole form, outer diameter as well as inner diameters on top and bottom. Pretty fucking crazy shit.
