Why do the light bars look like previous generation Audi?

More interested in the power gains than the aesthetic changes.

Out of curiosity, why? A standard 5 series is literally a family sedan, nothing more, nothing less. You're not going Canyon carving let alone track driving so why would you need a ton of power?

BMW is to be congratulated for not f*cking this one up - which they so easily could have done, based on some of the monstrosities in the stable right now.
It looks like a more subtle version of a scaled up 3 series, which is no bad thing. Conservative, elegant and modern, all in one - hallmarks of a 5 series.

Most likely the same as the other m performance cars. I can't see it changing much from what's currently offered. The m550 will only probably get the front lights and grill while keeping the bumper the same. Same goes for the rear. Just the taillights will change.

More Getting away from traditional bmw double light feature and tilting towards Audi like light, which is not a good thing.

This site https://releasedatesautos.com/2021-bmw-5-series/ shows the '21 550ix with 668M wheels, so it looks like they'll be available.

With that said, this LCI will bring power bumps across the board... 530i (295HP?), 540i(382HP?) and M550i (526HP?)

Because both are cars.
Honestly, I am getting tired of the endless "lights look like X" comments. There's only so much you can do with lights unless they'd look completely ridiculous and you'll always find another car whose lights look remotely similar. Especially for the headlights, you need to stop comparing DRLs and consider the whole package of lights (and double headlights at that), double kidney grille and potentially the M sport bumper. That's the BMW right there and that's what you'll see in the mirror. |

Agreed, but the photo with 668M's does look authentic. Whether the 668M's are only on there for testing is another story.
