Seen a few of these around. Looks good. I think I’ll wait for a manual

I wish one of the SEMA Supras was dialed back from 11 down to an 8. Meaning:

1) Shaving of all fake vents

2) Bridging the gap in the center of the front bumper cover

3) Shaving the integrated duck bill spoiler

4) Removing all the tacked on lower black aero work

Agreed, if the Heritage edition was actually released and it came with a manual I'd strongly consider it.

Interview with Art from EAG on the Supra manual conversion at SEMA. We also get to see the car all buttoned up. I have to say they did a really good job. Looks factory. Art goes into some more details which weren't really covered in his build videos. Apparently, the factory programming/software already had what they needed to accommodate the manual. They just had to tweak things a bit.

When I went with my mom to help her get a corolla one dealer must of had like 10 of them inside the show room. All had a $14,500 market price adjustment sticker on them.

It's alright, doesn't do anything for me. Front styling is not my favorite, but I kinda like the rest of it, inside it's basically a BMW (which I guess is good) and no manual would be a deal breaker. Just seemed like a Toyota styled BMW to me and I'm not a fan of anything BMW is doing right now in regards to performance sporty cars so....

Doing a quick search around here in SoCal seeing some of them being marked up to around 80K. Have they heard of the C8 and Cayman S? Or even a used Cayman GT4?

Supra is a $40-45k car in my mind. I can purchase a much more capable C7 in the low $40k range today. And the C7 has just as much aftermarket support, if not more. The 6.2L LT1 engine can easily handle a supercharger and get you over 600HP too if that's your thing.

You can even find a slightly used 718 Cayman/Boxster in the low $40k range and actually be able to own a Porsche. I'm just not finding a compelling reason why you would spend $50k or more for a Supra. I'd rather spend that kind of money to get the Z4 instead and at least have a drop top.

That was sarcasm as Toyota assured Toyota reliability for the BMW Supra.

Not surprising, b58 was in m340i which can come with a manual. Other modules such as ESP are probably pulled from the f chassis as well. Even some g20s have a manual, so if supra uses g chassis control modules, they all most likely can be coded to manual trans
