WTF!!.. status changed back to "order received".... this is the 2nd time now after it went to scheduled for production. first time it changed was when the war broke out...and finally went back to scheduled for production last week, but looks like it has reverted again.. anyone else?

my m550 was originally ww13, then got moved to 19, and now i have no idea.

I also found out today I am back to “order received”. I was previously scheduled for production week 11, then changed to week 18 after Russian invasion, now nothing.

Did you or anyone else in the thread speak to bmw genius? Sometimes it shows that online for a few hours and then reverts back.

Mine is showing this as well and it’s showing a blank image. I assume, hopefully, that this is a temporary change and should revert back to normal in a day or two.

I’ll call bmw genius in the morning to confirm.

wondering if the status changed only for the 550s or if its for the 540s as well..

Just spoke to BMW genius, they pushed me to week 21…

Started at Week 13 pushed to Week 19 now at Week 21…

Mine went from the 20th to the 22nd...just got off the phone with them... wonder how many more times it can get pushed back. Considering other models now.. even though im not sure if the other models are being built faster or not.

Hi

In early February, I ordered a 540i almost fully loaded. On Feb 4 I got my production number and was told it would start production in week 10. When I called Genius in week 11, I was told week 12.

I just called again, and was told week 16.

Not really sure what to believe - I was hoping to get the car by July.

I also spoke with a BMW genius today. I am now scheduled for week 21 (11 -> 18 -> 21). I really hope I can get a 2022.

Hi everyone!

Here's my story. I kinda got bored with my 2011 535i and at this point it's a ticking maintenance timebomb, so in November last year I decided to order a fully loaded 2022 M550i. I waited for an allocation until February, the build was then scheduled for week 11. A few days ago BMW Genius told me my order was pushed to week 18. When I checked the status on the website today, for my production # it was showing someone else's 530i from 2019 . It's gonna take a while, I guess . I'm afraid that by the time my new car is finally delivered they'll be taking orders for the next generation already... I'm actually considering cancelling the order and getting something on the used market for now. I hope in 2-3 years all this ridiculousness will be over and I'll be able to order a brand new car, maybe something like i5, with a reasonable delivery time.

in general, i think i have seen 540s and 530s get delivered, seems like the 550s are taking longer..i could be wrong...

Yes I submitted my spec mid-October but it wasn't actually confirmed "order received" until late November when we sorted out the interior. Original production start was week 4, then week 13, then 18.

Hopefully smooth sailing from here. I don't have B&W sound so maybe that will save me a RAM retrofit at port?

Next milestone I'm watching is the paint booth. My dealer says they base your production start on when they are able to make time to prep the booth for Individual paints, hoping that explains all the changes and accounts for the already-expected delay

Unfortunately I’m im the m550 crowd… delays on top of more delays. I told my sales rep that if the car gets delivered past June I’m going to pass on it if it’s got a model year of 2022… if I take it in say August as a 22. Then it’s a year old car as soon as it rolls off the lot losing a ton of value.

Does anyone know what’s going on with model year 2023? Will it be a g30 or the next gen? Any clue on when 2023 model production begins?
