California Tint- have you gotten pulled over?

I bought a jet black 2019 530e. need to get tinted this week.

In CA have you gotten pulled over? I know fornt 2 are illegal.

what would look best 30-35% all around or 20% in back and 35% in front?

Congratulations on your new car! (Jet black is a soft paint make sure to go to a good car wash or do it your self touch free). I live in SoCal and I haven't been pulled over yet for my tint nor lack of front plate on both my i3 and m3. I have 35% all around on both the cars. If I could do it again I'd definitely go a little darker next time around!!

40% all around and 70% on the windscreen with 3M Crystalline. Cops don’t even bother looking at me guess it just blends in with everyone else.

I got 15% all the way around in my F10 and now the same with my G30 and haven't been pulled over ( knock on wood)

I lived in LA for 3 years and was pulled over for tint on my Escalade, but I had 5% all around and 50% on my windshield (he ticketed me for the side tint and didn't even notice the windshield). I think as long as you don't go 5% all around then you'll probably be okay. I've never heard of someone being pulled over for 20% or 35% tint.

Whatever % you choose, just get it on there asap to protect your baby in that California sun!

This is exactly the same setup I have. Never been hassled about it, and it keeps me a lot cooler in the summer.

to stay cool, one doesn't have to use a dark tint. A high quality carbon ceramic nano tint will be the best protection from heat.
