Anything that's doing high 10s at 130 with tune only is just scratching the surface.
Boosted 8 ran 10s with just a jb4 no downpipes, few other guys lci running 10s with just jb4 and downpipes.

The times and speeds are accurate, the slope % however is a bit of a lottery. I will get valid vs invalid readings between runs on the same bit of road.

Dragy is easier…. Too bad they closed down Raceway Park drag strip… that was my go to in the early 90s
Dragy is, but I question the accuracy sometimes and I also don't like the idea of having to do 1/4 mile runs on the street
I'm lucky to have a corporate Park close to me. It has a half mile straight away into the complex. Zero traffic there on weekends… as a matter of fact basically zero traffic even during the week since everyone works from home now. I definitely don't endorse doing quarter mile runs on the street in general…. And it's unfortunate that there aren't too many drag strips around anymore.

Whether it be law enforcement, wildlife, traffic or farm equipment on the roads, there is no place in my area to comfortably run 120-130 mph. I have access to two dragstrips but each one is about 2 hours away. I usually go to the strip 8-10 times per year.

I think I worry about wildlife more than law enforcement 😂 don't want to hit a deer

It's great seeing everybody's E.T's. The only thing I would say is, unless you post the temperature and the DA (density altitude) The ETs don't carry much weight.

Some runs are being done at 50° with a DA -2,000(negative). And other runs are at 85° with a +3,000 DA.

Obviously a run at 50° with negative 2,000 DA is going to be a hell of a lot better than a run at 85° with +3,000 DA.

Most of the runs on the draggy leaderboard are done in unrealistic temperature and DA in my opinion. But I guess that's why they're on the leaderboard.

Here's a good example. This is a draggy run from today.

I have unlocked ECU with the BM3 e30 tune, catless downpipe. Brand new Michelin PS4s all around on my 2021 M550.

Look at how hot it is and look at the DA (density altitude)

Looks pretty terrible doesn't it. Mind you this was my first run after getting unlocked and tuned, more adjustments are to come, but it gives you an idea of how much temperature and DA affects the run.

What's your achieved boost at 6000rpm in those conditions with BM3?

Is that with launch control? Mine seems to be shifting early 0-60

Not sure. I'm waiting for my Ethernet adapter from Amazon so I can run the BM3 app and do logs off my phone.

Engine temps being controlled better and better your 60ft will dramatically help your time. A 1.8 launch is gonna be tough to get some great times unless you get your trap speed in 133 range 134 range. I will post soon to show real time much faster personal results in positive da. I have tested in all sorts of temps and da but I got some changes coming that will really help me. But here is some example of m550 from two years ago and couple 0-60s from a while ago from me on 93 gas. You have to get that 60ft down. As you can see you still trapping 131 but your launch and spool up to 1/8 is killing you. I’m suprised the downpipes aren’t helping you trap higher than 132 yet with a full ecu tune. There’s a 2020 that has many runs in high positive da and temps and downpipe trapping the same and around a 10.8 quarter in those conditions. Defiantly gets some logs to see what’s going on and what can be adjusted. Sounds like your on your way. Even 125 trap with a 1.6 launch can get you tens. So a 131 trap with a better launch is 10.5 10.4 level.
Yeah when I look at everybody else's runs on the draggy it seems like the temperatures always between 40 and 60 degrees, mine are in the mid 80s. Also I do see some little higher DA's in the ones you posted, but still not 2,500 or 3,000 plus.

Also I'm new to this, so I'm just going off of what other people if shared with me with the tuner have shared with me.

As of right now my runs are exactly the same as when I had the JB4. Except I was trapping at 125 consistently with the JB4, now I can trap up almost at 135, but all my numbers for 60 ft, 1/8 mi, 1,000 ft are all the same is when I had the JB4.

So something's definitely up with the tune, it's going to have to be worked on because the JB4 cost me like $800 bucks and this tune out of pocket between unlock, tuning platform license, custom tuning, car rental and commissioning assistance to get the unlock cost me $7,000.

So I'm a little aggravated to say the least. But once I get the adapter and can run some logs, hopefully can go back on the dyno for adjustment so my numbers look better than $800 JB4!

And I agree about the 60 ft. That's why this week I put all brand new Michelin PS4s all the way around.

I sure hope so I put a lot of money into it to not have the fastest car in town, but to be somewhat fast!

We have such heavy swings and humidity in the Midwest that I'm just going to bite the bullet and put meth injection on it. That way I don't have to worry about how humid it is or the heat. And hopefully with the meth injection I can maybe run from E30 up to e50 or 60 with a little bit more boost using those cooler intake temperatures.

I wonder if a transmission tune (when available) will help?

People on the M5 boards swear by the XHP stage 3.

For the new Gen3 trans.... it's in beta testing now.

Yes agree 100%. The tuner had his own TCU file he was supposed to load when he did the tune. Either he didn't do it and I paid for it or it just doesn't work correctly.
