Bluetooth laggy/slow ? Advice?

Lately I relized my bluetooth which is off an iPhone sometimes acts slow... or when I turn on car show its playing but no sound on coming out although not muted..... it loads the album cover and sometimes the album cover is greyed out... and its slow as in if im skipping through song or choosen another song it takes longer than usual. is it in need for a software update or some type?

ALSO MAIN SCREEN SOMETIMES LAGS AND SLOW? ANYONE? LIKE MAPS/ AND SWTICHING FROM MEDIA TO MAIN?

has anyone experienced this? not all the time but lately its been happening a lot

happened to me too. worst than that, the phone got disconnected every 15 minutes. I got a software upgrade at the dealer and worked perfect...for 2 days. Now the BT stays connected, but sometimes it gets slow and it doesn't even show song info. It will write Unkown track - Unknown artist. When this happens, I can;t even change next/prev song, using the car.

What I noticed, if I disable the Apps functionality from bluetooth, it becomes a lot more responsive. Sometimes it's almost real time.

Try holding down your volume button on the car for 30-45 seconds or until the idrive screen goes off. Make sure your phone is up to date with the latest software. Lastly try disconnecting your phone from your car and the car from your phone! Hope this helps

Delete the Bluetooth pairing from car. Create new pairing. Try again.

^ Agreed with the last few posts ^.

However, your main screen is lagging? As in your iDrive? That should not be happening and may indicate a bigger issue in general with the iDrive because bluetooth issues aren't new and more common, but if your iDrive is slow and unresponsive/lags when switching from maps to media then it sounds like it's not just a bluetooth issue.

Agree. If the entire iDrive system is laggy, then likely you have a bad harddisk. Dealer will need to swap iDrive unit.

Tell them you're having Bluetooth connectivity issues. Also very poor performance when using maps. Tell them to call you with result of what they find. In other words don't pickup car until they either a) upgrade istep in your car. b) replace headunit or c) respond in a way that otherwise satisfies you that they resolved the problem
