New 540 XDrive

So I picked up my new (ordered) Mineral White 540 XDrive with Canberra Dakota last night. Pretty basic with just Premium 2, HK, Multi-Contour and 18 inch go flat tires. Amazing it only took 8 weeks from order to delivery. Decent price (not exceptional, about 9% off plus rebates, but gave me enough for my trade to avoid wasting time with other dealers). Overall really happy. Two small items:

1. The tranny can be a bit cranky crawling at low speeds. This may change as the tranny learns my style (I have a total of 25 miles now) but the same issue occurred on my 2016 535. A reflash fixed it temporarily. Is this common on the 540? I did not recollect it from test drives.

2. I am a technophobe. One option that I can live without (but am missing a little) is the High Beam Assist from the 2016. Can that be coded in? And how hard is it to code something. I am so afraid of screwing it up and ending up at the dealer to fix it.

Thanks.

High Beam Assist can't be coded in without the required hardware and it requires the Full LED Headlights as well as the turn signal stalk. It also needs the KANFAS (spelling?) camera to detect other drivers.

Thanks. I was not sure if it just could be activated when the high beams were being used. I guess it will be laser lights in 3 years.

There is more than one definition to the word "tranny". ROTFL

Have a 2.5 year old 540 and find the transmission smooth.
Only thing I can think of is that the oil is cold first thing, is the car in a very cold environment at the moment?

If it smooths out once warmed up, I'm no engineer but that would suggest to me that the oil just needs warming up.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "cranky"?

Sorry. I am terrible with pics. Picked the car up in the pouring rain and it is filthy. Even if I was good with picks it would not be good pics.

It would jerk at low speeds. Since I have driven it a bit more it has smoothed out so the transmission is probably learning the type of traffic I am often stuck in.
