Anyone care to speculate or chime in if the 18 540 will get the x3's 40i hp/tq?

I think the x3 is rated at 370 lbs!!! What is current 540? X3 is even faster by .1!

Its not faster.. both 4,8s 0-100.

Usually the SAV will have a different tune with more low end torque than the sedan. Impressive that it matches the sedan's 0-60 of 4.8 with xdrive.

I've read 4.6 for x3 and 4.7 for 540x

It's the two at 370- will the 540 get that in 18 or 19 if it's just software?

Based on the BHP/Trq It looks to me like the M40i gets the M Performance Power and Sound Kit (fllash tune + cat back exhaust) available for the 340i/B58 engine since 2016. Should be same for 540i. If you want more HP/Trq the Dinan Elite Stage 1 tune (piggyback, not flash) for the B58 will give you the same ~40 HP/Trq increase with no exhaust required. I have this on my 340i and if I get a 540i would do the same.

I hadn't seen this prior to my post but since it's the same engine it made sense. MPPSK for the 540i, similar to the one for the 340i....

For the B58 340i LCI it took about 10 months after European availability to get it for the US so if the same delay for the 540i, it could be available soon. Many positive reviews by F30 340i owners.
