Feel like we're in a mini-fraternity of M550i owners with similar production windows and an equal amount of masochism to keep checking our status haha |

The reflectors would be my first job if my car was a US model. The other stuff all sounds great too - I like the sound of the red interior parts. I might have a look at IND myself. I’ve seen some nice items from them. |

I bought the red paddle shifters from IND, but they're Auto Tecknic brand (who made the start/stop button I bought). But interestingly, Auto Tecknic's site doesn't sell the red shift paddles, so I had to do it in two orders. I'll snap a few real life pics when the parts come so you can take a look - but I have high expectations for the quality. Figuring a few small pops of red will tie into the brake calipers in red and remind me of my soon to be departed red interior. |

Here are a few of the photos I have so far. Apologies if you’ve seen them before - I have posted a couple of them on other threads. It looks like a fairly subdued navy blue in dull weather (or when the car is dirty), but under artificial lighting or strong sunlight it really pops and has quite a bright royal blue sparkle to it. I’m really glad I went with it. |

Also, just watched a few youtube videos by your detailer, including the purple M3 he cleaned up for the folks at Redline up north. Quite a good looking shop and technique! |

His videos are quite entertaining, aren’t they? He’s done a few nice BMWs in the past. I’ll post up the pics he took when I get them. |

You're a good man, but an evil one too. Such a beautiful looking wagon. Looks so nice and very jealous of that body style being sold in Europe. Enjoy it in good health!! |

So, my car has made it through to the next step in the process, right about on time with what the Genius line told me on Monday (that it'd have movement by end of week). And I'm expecting to still be on track for completion of build next week on 11/11.
Happily looking like things are still moving along nicely in Germany despite increased shutdowns/lockdowns. Fingers crossed that she gets made and on a ship before anything gets more restrictive over there. Timeline so far: 111: Order accepted - 10/13 112: Order scheduled - 10/15 150: Production Begins - 10/30 (scheduled for week 45, or 11/2) 151: Exterior Assembly Begins - 11/6 |

I got super lucky with the dealership I found that had the best deal available also happened to have a production slot coming up very quick. Think that actually helped my discount because they didn't want to build a spec car, and wanted to just get a sold unit in. But that's purely speculation |

My self-inflicted torture is still ongoing, though if you've read any of my other posts, that should not be surprising.
Got my IND painted reflectors in, though their TBII paint looks darker than I expected. Will see when the car arrives I guess. Also got my Auto Tecknic red start button, and gloss red metal paddle shifters. The feeling of the paint/finish/coating on the paddles is great and I love the color. Should be nice when they're installed. My plate frames, dynamat for my new New York plates (I put dynamat on the back to eliminate any rattles. I'm a big fan of Obsessed Garage, and if that means anything to you, you'll understand.) As well as some other bits and bobs like my WeatherTech trunk liner (with floor liners for the cabin still inbound) Looks like my only comforts are my ever growing pile of parts (which my wife just loooooves) and my BMW Online Tracking 🤣 |

Looks great! Excited to see it all on the car. My wife would be equally enthused about the pile of parts
I've read good things on this forum about the IND accessories being a good paint match. The TBII does iook pretty dark if its not in direct sunlight, but I promise, it's a great colour! |

The progress continues, with it moving to assembly in progress. Looking optimistic still for a nice Christmas present to actually arrive in 2020

I've also definitely gone off the deep end, and am pre-stalking the W&W shipping schedule from Bremerhaven to New York/Newark. Looking like there are a few options starting around 11/17 for my car to potentially make it on to, and still have a shot at pre-Christmas delivery....
