Let's see your dogs!
I love this guy but he's never stepped foot in the G30. He loves to be with me while I detail it every weekend though! Do you let your dog in your G30?

These are my mutts. Both rescues. And they haven't been in the g30 yet… hoping to keep it that way, but we shall see…

My dear beagle Sam
He's in the front passenger seat with his blanket as a seat cover. He passed away last year from cancer after 14 wonderful years, but this picture always brings me a smile. Bill

Bill - it is tough - very tough.
I've done many trips to Holland which is how I became very familiar with the Keeshonden breed. I flew this beloved girl from Amsterdam to Miami back in early 2008 as a puppy. On this past Thanksgiving day, I lost her from a sudden and unexpected neurological event. That was a day after her 14th birthday which was 11/24/21. Other than hair or coat loss (alopecia) which is just cosmetic and common with many "spitz" type breeds when they get older, she was healthy, active and happy. I could only find one photo of her in my 2021 540i M Sport. She has taken rides in it a few times including road trips from Miami to Naples and Orlando. She loved to just relax and sleep in the back seat. Also, included other pictures through the years. I've been through some trauma in my life and thought I was "battle tested". I was very wrong. This one hit me hard. Real hard. Not a plea for sympathy by any means. Just relating to Bill or anyone else that has had a pet loss and knows very well that it can be a debilitating punch in the stomach. Doesn't make you a weak person to feel that pain AND admit it. I am enjoying this thread immensely. Great idea. All beautiful dogs! |

Quick story, Sam would ride in my old Honda and wouldn't hesitate for a second to put his paws on the dash or smear his wet nose all over the window. But he SAT STILL when in the 530e, as if he knew it was a new car and that his paws would scratch and mess up the delicate interior finishes... man's best friend indeed. Have a blessed week all! Our German shepherd, Skip!
And yes, he sometimes behaves like a little devil, hence the nickname 😈. |

Bill - Thank you! You are absolutely correct with the statement about what we agree to with our pets. With pets, pain is the ultimate price we pay for love. That is mushy and sappy for sure. We have no control over the inevitable, but providing the best life for these pets who are a blessing during their time with us is so fulfilling.
Anyway and on a brighter note, I am absolutely enjoying the many photos of the member's dogs and their stories. They are all incredible creatures and I certainly appreciate this thread. |

This is Blaze, our 14 year old sheltie rescue. He rides in whatever vehicle we have. He's done 2 roundtrip cross country trips since 2017 (moves), but now it's just to the vet (he has kidney disease) and the groomer.
They are just cars, but the dogs are family. They can ride in a lambo if I ever owned one.

Thank you! He's far and away the greatest dog I've ever had. Super smart and obedient. Very strong willed though so not for everybody.
