Anyone know where to source the blue thread?

I am trying to finish a custom build that requires buying some of the Polar Blue thread that BMW uses on the M2 seats. I believe it is made by Amann and is part of their Serafil line, but for the life of me I can't find anyone that knows the exact color code of the thread, or can sell me the Amann color chart, or can sell me the thread. Anyone out there have any leads?

Have you tried going to an upholstery shop?

Thanks for the thoughts. I have finally sourced the thread, not a knock off but the original thread that BMW uses. It took many calls to upholstery shops and a lot of research but it turns out BMW uses Amann as the thread supplier. They don't sell their thread to upholstery shops or individuals so you need to find a connect who has an account with Amann to place the order for you. Mine is showing up in a couple of weeks and then I can get the upholstery shop to cover my race seats in OEM leather, Alcantara, and the blue stitching all for a fraction of the M4 GTS seats. Thanks for the help.

I have the full build posted on my motor club website here https://www.siliconvalleymotorclub.com/m2-build/ but I will do a dedicated post thread soon.

Cool blog on that site.

I saw your interior mods (cosmetic). Have you given any thought to getting the CF trim for your DCT knob and surround? It really ties nicely to the wheel trim you installed. I know you're more focused on the true perf stuff, but it IS really nice.

Funny that you mentioned that. Yes I have thought about that and I likely will do some more CF and Alcantara trim pieces. I am going to fabricate a close off box where the cub holder is so that I can mount a fire suppression switch and electrical cut off switch and that box will be wrapped in Alcantara so if I get the CF and Alcantara you are suggesting it will all tie in nicely.

Some times it is ok to have some "show with no go" mods. Thanks for the advice.
