2021 X5 M50i w/20" 740M - new tires to replace run flats?
Hi all.
Has anyone replaced the factory run-flats on a X5 M50i w/740M 20" wheels with something else? (currently have the Bridgestone Alenza's) I am in a climate where all-seasons make the most sense. I am considering the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus, which is the newer-gen of the DWS 06. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...745WR0DWS06PXL I have the first-gen DWS 06 on my 19 Audi Q7 and love them, so I am assuming the "2.0" version of this tire will improve things further. Also considering the Michelin CrossClimate 2: https://www.bmwblog.com/2020/12/02/m...l-season-tire/ However, it does not seem to be available yet in the 275/45R20 size. Does anyone have the DWS 06 Plus fitted yet? If so, any feedback? TIA. |

Having any luck??
I'm battling the exact same issue... what to replace the crappy 275/45R20 Bridgestone's with. For what it's worth I'm down to the Continental Extremecontact DWS06 plus or Michelin Pilot Sport 4SUV (both available on TireRack in our size). I'm thinking the Continental with provide a better and quieter ride but the Michelin will be the superior handling and better traction tire. it's a tough call because I want it all! |

Update... switched to Continental DWS 06 Plus a few days ago. What an improvement! Much softer ride, less noise, it even seems to handle a bit better which surprised me. That is the one area I expected the RFT to be superior. It actually feels like a luxury vehicle now which it was missing with the RFT's. Still handles really well IMO too, very happy!
