Something is wrong with society

Had my car parked while having dinner with my girlfriend and when we came out, at first I thought my car was hit by another. Upon further inspection, the dents look like punch marks. The side vent was torn out as well. The parking garage had cameras but staff for the garage was not helpful at all. This occurred in Coral Gables, FL for those who know South Florida.

Can't see from the photo but the paint was scratched down to the metal as well.

Shit like this can happen anywhere, but I think it happens more in Florida, especially Miami, scum city.

That sucks for sure, not trying to rub salt in your wound, I was at a conference in Fort Lauderdale a few weeks ago. Not an area where I would want to raise a family. Miami is worse. I am sure it was some jealous fuck. You probably parked safely and far away and some envious person knew you cared about the car, or someone really wanted that side vent.

I am originally from NY and moved to FL in 2003. Settled in West Kendall which is part of Miami because of all the new construction. Yes, Miami is bad but I think society in general is degrading. Too much hate. It's sad. I will have my car fixed but unfortunately, it will require replacing and painting the fender.

They also did the same to a Mercedes C300 that was parked near me.

Fuckers. If it is any consolation, I had a fender replaced on my F10 which was Dark Graphite and it came out perfect. One of the many good things about Aluminum body panels is that they really can't be repaired and filled. They call for replacement.

OP sorry about your incident. But I agree it’s more about jealousy than hate. Or they hate that you have something nice because they are jealous. My friend had to replace a set of Michelins on his newish 911 because someone used a nail gun to shoot nails into the side walls. We’re not in a major metro area where this probably happens regularly. Someone thought they needed to stick it to the man.

I certainly would. Especially since you know you were not the only one damaged.

Good question and the answer is even more disturbing. The police wouldn't come out to file a report or even do some type of investigation or pretend to investigate. The management company of the parking garage is avoiding my calls.

All the police offered is for for me to come to the station to file a report. That is useless. Not going through insurance. The car is at the BMW dealer's body shop and I will pay out of pocket. Cost is 1526.58
