Auto trunk retrofit g30

Hello guys...

I have a bmw g30 and I have automatic trunk opening on it but I don't have auto closing.I bought on ebay a retrofit set for automatic closing hkfm module, tailgate lift, trunk switch and wires for module part number 61119862954.

Now I have a problem as I don't have a schematic to connect this Hkfm module and trunk switch.
Can anyone help me to send me an electrical diagram for tailgate trunk hkfm module,or to explain to me how to connect.

You will also need another trunk lock + closing power mechanisam.

I did alot of this reteofit. If you mount it with the current lock it will close 4/10 times at best and will not open automaticlly.

Ok thank you friend,
then I will have to buy a trunk lock + closing power mechanism.
Do you have a wiring diagram for the all connection and if you can send it to me. I have Bmw Next diagnostic unit and the Ista d for programming,
but I can't find the connection diagram inside.

Thank you...

I'm considering retrofitting my G30 with trunk automation.
@ginc022 Have you managed to get wiring diagrams?
Does the activity require any vehicle coding?

No friend I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram yet.I'm still looking ...
Yes it is necessary after installation to coding HKFM module and to make a configuration for automatic closing of the trunk.

I found https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ighlight=Trunk which is for G20. Here should be the same.
It looks like a lot of work, especially with the BDC connection.

Thanks guys....

I think it's the same as on the g30,it's a bit of a problem that it's not in English but we can handle it .
Yes, there is a lot of work to be done, when it starts from the beginning there won't be much of a problem.

I went with the overpriced Bimmertech package. No coding necessary. Everything connects to the module.

Hey,

I have seen this as well, and I'm now wondering to look for all parts needed, but I'm searching for someone to verify the Korean example on the G20

How much time did you put in the install?

:-)

It was really straight forward. If you've never taken apart your trunk before then I would say it would probably take about 8 hours to complete. If you already know how to take everything apart, it would take maybe 4 or 5 hours. The most time consuming part is taking off all the panels and putting them back together.

For my kit, everything bolted up correctly. I had no issues and everything worked right out of the box.

@ginc022 I'm wondering if you managed to get it sorted as I'm almost there.
Waiting for some parts to collect.

I can share some wiring diagrams for G30. It turns out, that besides the HKFM module only one additional wire to BDC from the soft lock is necessary.

I managed to make all the wiring and the HKFM module is now visible in ISTA+.
There is a message the module needs to be encoded but I don't see any
options to code it via ISTA.

Any ideas?

Best is to buy a used :

-powermotor
-tailgate module
- closing button

And you buy the new wireing bmw part no 61119862954

You also need a trunk button for the drivers door, you can just cut the driver door panel and make the new bigger button fit so you can open and close the trunk from the drivers door button.

Can anyone provide all the parts (part numbers) necessary for this retrofit please? I want to retrofit the automatic trunk closing function (the car has Comfort Acces and automatic trunk opening with the flinging foot under the back bumper function). 2021 540iX

This isn't answering your question but may be of interest.

I fitted the kit from Bimmertech.

I already had the foot wave under the bumper and the open switch on the front drivers door.

The kit made use of these and it works exactly as if it was factory parts.

It was an easy enough DIY just lots of trim panels to remove and refit.

Its not a cheap option and Aliexpress has lots of very similar looking kits for less money but they probably don't have any fitting instructions!!
