Simple audio question...

can’t seem to find in manual. Can volume of Bluetooth audio be adjusted to match the MUCH louder volume of all the other sources? Thanks

When you're using bluetooth to play music, you'll have two places where you can adjust volume- the dial on the iDrve (or whatever car you're in) and then on the bluetooth device itself (an iPhone or iPod, whatever) so you want to make sure your volume in both places (stereo dial in car and volume turned up on device) is turned up.

That should give you plenty of volume control and be able to give you louder than it ever needs to be, IMO.

Thanks for the response, but absolute volume isn’t the problem. If I’m listening to Spotify at a decent volume, forget to reduce it, and go back to FM, for example, the sound just blasts. Both annoying and potentially damaging to the speakers. So I guess the answer to my question is no, there’s no work-around here.

Your device BT output level needs to be increased. What phone are you connecting?

I’m using an iPhone8 and don’t see any way to increase BT output volume. Can it be done?

Simply increase the volume of the phone to max level and you won't have an issue in switching between different media sources.
