A photo from last night post car wash. The new H&R springs really change the look of the car. Currently only have the front springs installed but I’m installing the rear springs/spacers tomorrow. Will reply with a photo once everything is done for anyone curious of how the car will look.

How much does it drop it? which suspension do you have from the factory? It looks like a very slight drop which I like on this car, nothing too crazy.

darkrom I would say it dropped about 2” after the suspension settled. I have the M Sport suspension on my car. Also once I install the rear springs tomorrow the front should settle a little lower. Perfect drop for this car imo and with the spacers I think the fitment will be really good with the 20” wheels. Front lip/side skirts would bring it all together as well as help make the car seem lower.

Nice! Im deciding between H&R and MSS. MSS has the ability to dial in the height but I would probably have it at the lowest possible height for that suspension so adjustability isnt a major concern. Ride quality is though and everyone with the MSS says it rides near identically to stock, just lower, which I like.

DaWhole9 I don't think you can go wrong with either the H&R or the MSS. My only thing with the MSS was the price point. I felt like for that price I should just spend a little more and get a full coilover. That is what ultimately led me to buying the H&R.

I have the Dynamic Handling Package with the Adaptive M suspension. I dont want to ditch the adaptive dampers so full coilovers isnt an ideal option. The fact the MSS can work with those dampers is a plus. I plan on keeping this car long term so in 5 or 6 years, I won't really care about the extra cost if I am happy with the cars ride and handling. Thats why I am leaning MSS, but still wondering if thats overkill. I have the same color and wheels, so my car will look identical so VERY interested in pics when you get the rears installed.

DaWhole9 ok that makes sense cause I have the DHP and M suspension as well. I will be doing the rear install today after work. Photos will be uploaded either tonight or tomorrow depending on how late it is lol. Hopefully the spacers will be delivered today as well.

Awesome! I am debating doing the install myself or taking it somewhere...I have seen write ups. Any insight to how the install went would be great!

So not by any means would I call myself a mechanic LOL however when I purchased this car I made a vow to myself that I would do all the installs that I could with the tools that I have. With that being said, it is super straight forward. The driver side took me a about 4 hours(working out the kinks) and the passenger took me about an hour once we had figured it out. I had 2 friends there to help. We placed the front end on jack stands and got to work. Rent a spring compressor from your local auto parts shop if you don't have one. Oh and make sure you have a set of Torx sockets. You'll need it for the strut bolts as well as the upper control arm bolt.

E12 and E14 were all the torx that you need but it doesn't hurt to buy a small set if you don't already own some.

PS!! WHEN PUTTING THE STRUTS BACK IN PLACE PUSH DOWN ON THE WHEEL HUB TO ALLOW SOME MORE ROOM FOR THE STRUT TO GO OVER THE LOWER CONTROL ARM

I might have to give that try. I was going to do 17/18 in the front & 20 in the rear. Also just a heads up if you end up doing the install yourself. When removing the seatbelts in the rear make sure to wrap the actual strap around the front seat headrest. I ran into an issue where both my rear seatbelts retracted to much and locked. We had to disassemble them to manually unlock them. It was a headache but once we figured out the first one we knocked the other out in a couple mins LOL. All in all the car is back together and everything is good! The ride on these new springs is really good.

Another member has his G30 lowered and 15mm spacers all around and to me thats just right. I am still debating whether I do it myself or take it to a shop. I am a few weeks away from pulling the trigger so I have some time.

Some people like them to poke out a tad...I like them to fit inside the fender, but not stick out. not quite flush. To me...this is percfect.
