Did Anybody dyno their M550?

It seems like the only data available is the one from Dinan 540hp/595tq. Curious to see if there is any other tests done.

I think the main reason you don't see a lot of dyno, because finding AWD dyno is not as easy as 2WD dyno.

There's a local shop here that has an awd dyno and I keep meaning to get mine done. It's $150 for 3 runs. I have a Dinan Stage 1 so I thought I'd do one run in bypass and two runs with Stage 1 activated to see the difference.

I'll try to do it soon it seems like appointments book a week or so out.

So we have the Dinan dyno, but I wanted to find another one so really went down the rabbit hole and was able to find this. They are a very reputable tuner.

On a Mustang dyno which reads a good percentage less – the exact number? Who knows, but I’ve seen 10-20%.

427 WHP & 457 WTQ

If the base car reading above was 427HP at the wheels and with a rough 20% drivetrain loss for AWD (may be low), the Dinan Mustang dyno base BHP number of at least 540HP seems right. (Dinan got 433/497 WHP).

Mustang dyno's do read about 10% lower then Dynojet... With that said: 427hp x 10% mustang dyno difference x 20% AWD power loss = 563hp.
Seems little high, but who knows...

Yea 563 seems high. I think Dinan is right on the money with the 530 ish range they gave.

That's exciting! Can you share your impressions with the Stage 1?

I love it! I can tell the difference for sure. I had it installed by a local dinan dealer.

Acceleration is very smooth and the car is really fast!

I did go today!

Here are a few pics, but the car kept throwing a CEL before we could reach peak hp, and would slow down automatically.

The CEL was the camera system detecting that the car wasn't moving even though it was going 120MPH. The car was in dyno mode so I'm not sure why it kept doing that.

The best run I got was 421 hp at the wheels / 535 at the crank, this is with Dinan Stage 1 enabled.

This is a mustang awd dyno, so the numbers are about 15% lower than a Dynojet would show but the CEL would show up before reaching max hp.

So I'm not super happy with the results, maybe I'll try again if I can figure out how to avoid the CEL.

I'll post a video later.

Thanks for the update and great videos. I guess we still have some unknowns - the 535HP at the crank you got was about what Dinan got from stock runs. I have no idea how to solve the CEL issue.

Strange... However with estimated 10%-15% mustang to dynojet difference we are looking at 462-484whp and with 20% drivetrain loss 554-580hp with car cutting the power before max output can be achieved. That's not bad at all in my opinion. Thank you for posting results and let us know what happens!
