I think the time has come to let go of my baby...

Hey guys i think its really time to get rid of my 335 and drive a shitty ass car for a while. At 21 years old im on my 5th bmw and they have all been trouble. Stupid cops just pick on me to much!!! I Also have a Saturn Vue for 5 years now!! and ive never ever once been pulled over in it.

Recently i dont even drive my car anymore much, im so sick of bein harassed, everything from cops just looking at me wierd from pulling me over and walking around my car several times to write me up for everything they can.

I got my car impounded yesterday, for some bullshit,i know he was being an ass. He even said with your nice european dont worry you should be able to afford 30 days of the pound! stupid pig., and i know it had to do with the car. Driving the beater Saturn really shows wtf this stupid fucked up city is all about. Officer even had the nerve to say be careful the economy is bad we are giving out way more tickets now...

Once i get the car back im going to part out EEVRYTHING and someway get rid of it...i really had hopes of getting myself a gt-3 next spring and having the car fully fully modded by bimmerfest. however with getting speeding tickets for going 31 in a 25 zone and 40 in a 32 zone......fuck that......im done.

Lately ive been driving the Saturn so much, and i never get one god damn bad look from one cop, driving the same and doing everything the same!!!!!!!!

This is too much stress, im done, not worth it for a nice car.

Blame it all on the cops, because you had nothing to do with any of those violations at all

lol that's glendale for you man and it's not only the cops giving your car a second look The stuff on your car draws a lot of attention towards it thats why I didn't get rims or blue angel eyes and stuff cuz that stuff just asks the popo to pull you over.

i was going to say something similar. the more bling, the more attention...from people and cops alike. cops are on the streets all day, everyday. they see you, they remember your car. one ticket, and they'll remember you for eternity. maybe try de-blinging your car a little bit...i'd much rather take flashy rims or body kits off in favor of selling my baby.

i used to get harassed by the local cops in a suburb i used to live in. i don't have fancy rims or body kits, but i used to have some very insane exhaust that leaves a lasting impression. they would follow me, pull me over for no reason, point fingers at me while they shoot the laser at me, etc. fixed the exhaust, blended in just fine. i ended up moving out of that shithole burb in favor of dallas city cops, who don't give a shit.

GOOD, people should read before they throw stupid comments. Especially when the comment has nothing to do with anything

man, one of the nicest bimmers on the forum, i loved your ride man, btw was this in the 818 area ?? cuz we have the black cop at our school i swear to god he is the most fucked up person/cop i have ever seen in my life, he writes tickets more often than he takes breath, for a while he left and now he is back and he is SO FUCKED up in fact that, my friend has a 40% tint on his front windows and the cop was circling the lot after lunch and he waited for us to get in the car, drive away and then he gave him the TICKET(not fix it ticket) for around 200$ i think. i have never wished anybody any harm, but i seriously hate this guys GUTS !!

Rom you know what you have to do man. Just chill and everything will be cool.

I drive about 60 miles a day most of it in Glendale because of school and work. This whole time with my car I've been pulled over once and I got my car searched and the works. You know what it was for? A tint ticket. I asked the cop why did you have to do this? Why did you have to pull me out on the curb and search my car to find nothing? His answer was blatantly, "It's procedure."

I'm not surprised that this happened to you man because officers in Glendale do look out for flashier cars but you just have to be a little more careful.

I've gotten pulled over twice so far since my driving career. One was for a seat belt ticket in my Camry and the other was for my tint and license plate ticket. Don't let the police department change the way you're going to live your life.

Does this mean you're never going to drive a car other than a Saturn Vue again? Drive the car you want and most importantly don't be a dick to the cops and you'll be fine. I've had my car since August and no troubles other than the tint ticket and a bunch of parking tickets. As long as you're safe and so is everyone else that's all that matters. You learned from your mistake, so just move on.

I've never had any problem driving around in Glendale, I just pay attention to myself and do 40 no matter what. When I had my black wheels, I always used to get hit up to race while driving down Glenoaks. I honestly don't blame the cops for being assholes...I see so many cars doing 60+ racing on the local streets in the area on a regular basis.

I don't see racing going on that much at those speeds but I can't argue that people do drive a lot faster than the speed limit on the small roads around here.

yea i know how you feel.... whenever i am driving around the city my car attracts a lot of attention and i can see the heads of cops turning to look at my car... so i always have to be extra careful not to piss anyone off. if i made one illegal turn or maybe change lanes without signalling, i know i'll be pulled over.

i guess with great power comes great responsibility (as spidey says)....

If they want you bad enough, they can book you for racing by yourself, even if you manage to stay at or below 35MPH (if you take off fast enough).

Another thing I see a lot is a game of cat and mouse. Usually a nice car drives by at a fast speed, and another car switches lane to follow it.

Yeah, I think the ticket is called unsafe take off or something of that sort.

lol those cat and mouse games are funny and extremely unnecessary. I've seen 1 cat and mouse game end up horribly, e93 just veered into an e46, it was horrible.

Those drivers represent a big portion of drivers in Glendale, which is why the cops are the way the are. It's mainly all they see so that's what they have to be prepared for.

Blah! Sorry to hear this happening. I came to the same conclusion with my Integra Type-R I owned a few years back. It kept being stolen and pulled over wherever I went, for no damn reason. Sold it and bought an old BMW and the problems dissapeared like that!

Majority of policen ARE biased, regardless of what some of these folks may imply, especially down in LA.
