2020 side M emblem
Does the 2020 M550 still have the side fender M emblem? I really like those.

It's strange, I've seen pre 2020's with them and some without? I got some from a vendor on here about a month into getting mine. It's small, understated yet adds a little something to side of the car.

Better left without. Those small Ms on the front fenders are plastered all over cars that are far weaker than M550i. Nobody will confuse this car for an M when looking at that silly badge, so I say if it's not there then all for the better. If it is, I'm removing it from mine. One M on the exterior of a non-M car is bad enough, but I can live with one...

I didn't realize the side ones were decals. Personally, I think they're cool. Subtle indicator that it's an M550.
As I understand it, BMW is making the M line a separate difned series between regular BMW's and the true ///M cars. A few years ago, I had a F30 328 M series 6 speed MT. Although a great car, it was a real poser of a M. To each their own.

Just my .02 cents
///M car, non ///M car, M Sport, non M Sport, whatever make, whatever model, whatever year, whatever whatever. I am not a fan of any badge, dealer emblem, sticker, license plate trim, etc other than the front and rear BMW roundels. PLEASE don't kill the sexy lines of the Ultimate Driving Machine with advertising! My post is of no value and only reflects my opinion Please resume your argument over badges

eh, people can whine and complain about people adding or deleting the badges, whatever. The attitude should obviously be - whatever you like is fine. I added them to mine as I have the M package on my 540. Yes people, I know I don't have an M550i - let it be and relax. I did find a set on ebay that were black and not chrome, so a bit more understated. I have heard, can't necessarily confirm, that these are standard on euro versions, but again, not positive. They do look good though regardless of what people think

I had IND source and paint a set in gloss black for my M550. They look great, but more importantly, opinions are like [_____]s, everybody has one. To each their own.

Agree that the M fender badges add a little bit more to the car (similar to Audi's S line 'logo' on their fenders when not a true 'S' car, etc. similar to M-Sport). So, I ordered a pair of badges, and now I just need exact placement measurements for either the dealership or a body shop to place properly (I have seen the 'box' drawing on a white G30 in a different thread, which is very helpful). Besides, since BMW automatically puts these badges on European built cars, I consider the addition of these badges on an American M-Sport car to be just as legitimate as those M-Sports - just my opinion...

Thanks dlf750 for the great link - I searched like crazy and didn't find this link, very helpful. I am a little OCD when it comes to this kind of thing and I want it to be done as right as possible. That's why I want someone professional to place the badges, not myself as I KNOW that I would not do it correctly - Btw, how easy is it to get a 'do over' if a mistake is made? Are they easy to remove and place again, or you get one shot at placement and they can't be removed for a 'mulligan' (golf term 'do over' for the non-golfers in the thread). Again, much appreciated on the help!
