This is only for 530's and 540's as the M550 does not have front fogs. If you don't code the car for this switch it will throw codes. I had to code mine for the rear fogs to be enabled, it was not just pop in the switch.

Got mine from Latvia via eBay pretty cheap and scratch free.

Ugh you’re right. Checked eBay and they’re about $100 or less. I had the 535i and the 530 f10 before that. I’m guessing F10 was plug and play and this required some bimmercode prompts. Still love rear lamps.

It is still available! I can’t confirm this will work for your car so please take a look. I had a 2018 535xi with front fogs. To Joe’s point, I can also post the OBD adapter I used with bimmercode to get the coding to work among a ton of other things. Added a picture to the post

For what it’s worth, coding is very easy. Don’t let this scare anyone away. Just make sure you have lights with the diode and also you need to have the rear fog wiring from the BDC.

This might help, you need to have a black wire leading to the inner tail. One side black with yellow stripe the other black with white.
