First Finish?

I was just contacted by the dealership that is handling delivery of my 325i which was purchased through military sales program. So as I understand it, these guys don't make any money from the sale and the delivery is a courtesy that BMW provides at the dealership of my choice.

Anyway, so far these guys have been awesome and today asked if I was interested in an exterior teflon coating and interior protection (similar to scotch guard but better) for $399. I don't remember reading anything on this and could not find any info in the search.

Anyone have advice on this? I plan to keep the car for at least 10 years and do have kids. Thanks!

my advice,

don't let the kids in the car

OK, but really they're trying to guilt you into buying their "protection"
they wouldn't offer it if it didn't make them huge profits

don't buy it!!!!!

Wax the car yourself and buy a can of Scotchgard. Your wallet will be in better shape and you'll end up with a nicer looking wax job than the "professional" job.

After spending another night on the forum I found some similar posts. Seems as though this is also called Simonyzing and Touch of Class but the consensus seems to be don't do it and get Zaino. Thanks for the help. I pick up the car this afternoon!
