Any more feedback from m550 owners with Dynamic Handling Package? Trying to read all there is on the option, and other than this thread, there isn’t a ton of info out there.

It's definitely worth the money, especially for the added weight of a 5-series! Handling is very good, cornering is much better than my lighter 3-series with no handling options. With the longer wheel base, it's a must in tight parking spots.

DISCLAIMER: I think my Silverado handles pretty good too.

so DHP obviously improves handling. does that improvement come at a cost to comfort? getting close to placing an order (M550) and I’m on the fence about DHP (comfort being priority). I have driven a 2019 M550 that did not have DHP and enjoyed it.

I just swapped out a recently acquired non-DHP M550 for one with DHP today. I like the ride of both, but DHP definitely softens any road imperfections in comparison, while non-DHP feels a little harder and stiffer (but not in a bad way). I need to drive it around town a little more, specifically to gauge sport mode. So far, it is an overall smother ride with DHP and handling feels a little tighter as well (based on a ~200 mile mainly highway drive). From a comfort perspective, it's a great package addition if you can swing it.

If you don't get DHP is there still a 10mm drop?

Has there ever been a review of a non-DHP M550i in the trade magazines?

Not sure if this helps, but a breakdown of the standard Adaptive M suspension:

Thanks. I also found a table in chapter 1 page 7 of the G30 Technical Manual that says 10mm lowering is standard in the Adaptive M Suspension.

The M550i comes standard with adaptive suspension, correct? The DHP is a add on option I thought and was debated if it were necessary on other models because it was a standalone option.

I have an 18 M550 without DHP. But I've never driven one with DHP, so I am neither glad to not have it, nor wish I did have it, because I have no basis for comparison.

I can say that this is my daily driver, I drive both on the highway and on some really bad/gnarly back roads and I'm happy with the way the car rides both in Comfort and Sport.
Same here. 2018 M550i with almost every option including DHP. I love how it handles. Doesn't feel quite as nimble as my 4-series, but then again, it's a much larger and heavier - albeit much faster - vehicle. I'll have to take some tight turns in comfort and then in sport to compare. I'll have to admit, haven't really paid much attention. Just enjoy driving.
