Slight vibration when steering

Since fitting the bigger wheels, I've noticed a slight vibration when steering slightly aggressively around bends through the front right hand wheel.

I think its started since fitting the new 19"'s but I can't actually remember as I only had the car for 2 days running on the 18"s.

This only happens when I take a corner with a bit of extra pace. Oh and to add another twist into the story, I'm sure it only happens in Eco mode.

I was trying on my way home and I could only feel it in Eco. Nothing when in sport.

Going to get the wheels re-balanced as they were sat on their side while in storage for several months.

Anybody else noticed anything like this - is there some strange eco setting that vibrates the steering wheel if you corner too fast? I don't know

I can honestly say I've never noticed this (20" wheels with RFT from factory) but I have never done anything 'aggressively' in Eco mode

The mode you're using and the driving style described are at odds with each other.

The combination of aggressive driving and eco mode (which uses higher gears and lower revs) could well be the problem.

Definitely start with a balance check on the new wheels.

If the same after a rebalance and you say it originates from the right-hand wheel, I'd swap 'right to left' to see if it moves to the left-hand wheel. If it stays on the right-hand side, then most likely not the wheels at all.

Very intrigued with the "in ECO mode", to what it could be that contributes to a vibration as you press on, if it is not the wheels.

Wheels booked in to be balanced tomorrow lunch.

Tried again tonight. The vibration is there in sport, but it’s very slight. Much more obvious in eco mode.

A possibility is the softer suspension allows more of the vibration to be felt? Or would a stiffer setting transmit more?

Wheels balanced and tyres checked - nothing wrong, the balance was slightly out but not enough to alter anything.

Tested again and a slight vibration on hard cornering? Daft question, but is this a characteristic of the Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres on the 19" alloys?

I've got those tyres on 20 inch wheels and have never noticed that issue.
Have the dealership driven the car to see for themselves the issue?
