540 wheels. WTH were BMW thinking!
Am I the only one who finds the stock wheel design on the 540 a HUGE disappointment? The 18" wheels are hideous, and the 19s aren't a lot better. Frankly, the F10 had better wheels, IMHO. Flame away!

I think they're fine. I have the 19" sport line and they look fabulous, although like most BMW wheels they are difficult to clean.
You can't please everyone. I have an X5 service loaner, and I think the wheels on it are killer cool. However, the rest of the car generally sucks.

I agree, they make the car look rather geriatric. But the tires on the 20 inch wheels are too low profile and they will burst in almost any pothole. I’ve had 8 blowouts in a year.

Completely agree the stock 18/19s are awful. I went w the 20's on m550 just cause of the looks but Def worries about pot holes. I'm going to Upgrade sidewall on them and cross fingers.

I actually think it's up to 9. I had a bubble last month and the tire was replaced. The guys at DiscountTires know me by first name now and they are always very happy to replace it under their road hazard certificate for about $45 each time.
The low profile 20-inch tires will burst in any large or sharp pothole.

No, F10 did not have better looking wheels. That's too general of a statement. Back then F10 came with variety of wheel choices across the engine trims, some were very basic. Google 17" rim style 327, this was standard on 528.

I don't know about you guys, but I happen to like the stock 19s on my 2019 540 M package. Love the black/silver coloring as well. And as to the above posts, I had 21s on my last 750 - not only did I constantly get blowouts, it was usually TWO at the same time! And no, I took the run flats off to get the 21s...eventually I gave up and went back to 19s...

I agree with you agentorange, I have the stock 19s on my M550 and hate them. Frankly I don’t like the optional 20s either.
Thankfully the car is so otherwise sweet I can overlook it. |

No complaints about the 759i 20s"--just right IMHO and love the design. Actually pretty easy to clean as well..
