Remus 540i exhaust
Hey anyone with the Remus exhaust know the measurements of the tips? Mainly the exhaust outlet? Looking to get some tips that don't say Remus on them.

Love the look of that exhaust on the car. How does it sound after some time to break it in? Any sound clips?
I had a Remus axle-back on my F30 340i and loved the sound. It got a little deeper after a while. Considering the same for my 540i.

Here is a 3min clip of my 2017 F30 340i M sport with Dinan stage 1 tune. Includes stock exhaust on cold start then sport mode, Remus axle-back exhaust on cold start and sport mode, and last my prior E90 M3 stock exhaust. Sound doesn't compare to the M3 but I assume the 340i and 540i w/Remus axle-back would sound similar since it's the same engine. Apologies for the link but I don't have another way to host.
Mike - this is the exhaust you sold me in 2017. Loved it but no longer have the car. https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-jtMVsq/i-xVFhqgk/A

It should not. Are you concerned due to smog or just visual representation in the dash?
Front cats are..well, in the front, and the secondaries are just before the mid, so you should be fine.

I'm just concern about visual representation in the dash and afraid to lose HP bro. Cause I been heard that if the light comes out it may lose the hp. Right now I changed my downpipe, it seems totally ok.

I think the 540i only has 1 cat and that's the Downpipe. No more Downpipe pre cats to midpipe main cat.

If your Smog guy just does the OBD scan, you will need to either flash a stock tune, or put in some spacers and turn on that sensor for it to be ready. If the shop is old school and hooks up the sniffer then you're better off swapping the stock downpipe in and flashing a stage 1 or stock tune to protect the engine. |
