M550 Dark Graphite Grey

Hi All,

I picked up my M550 this weekend and wanted to share a few pictures that may help those looking to choose a color. I love the DGG it really as a lot of character and really goes well with the cerium gray trim bits. Love the car it has great power delivery, the DHP with rear steering really is amazing. Enjoy

DG looks great but doesn't seem to be a colour in the UK? I've only spec'd up MSports though, is this an SE colour?

EDIT nope I see MS in the thread.

Hopefully just a week away from collection now, after reading up about some of the new paint protection products available I asked Azuri Car Care to carry out a 'new car detail' using GTechniq Crystal Serum Ultra. I haven't seen the car in the metal yet but Graham at Azuri kindly sent through these pics:

There's a coating of EXO3 water repellant to go on today then hopefully we're all set for handover next week.

Car is Sophisto Grey Xirallic - Dark Graphite in the US, black dakota leather with poplar grey trim. I must admit I wasn't wild about the colour choice available and originally ordered Champagne Quartz before struggling to find an interior colour and trim I thought worked well with the exterior. Then I went to white (which I still like with the black trim) but thought I had to have a change after my current white F10. I saw Sophisto on a car nearby and thought it looked pretty good, then I saw the pics nsa100 posted in this thread and finally made my mind up!

Here is mine with 636 wheels in liquid black. I love the style of the wheels but the liquid black is too shiny IMO as at times from some angles they look like they are chrome and I would prefer them to look a deeper black.

Other mods are the M Performance exhaust (muted sound of standard 540 sucks) , boot lip spoiler painted in body colour and also painted the front wing vents body colour as the gloss black didnt look right on the grey bodywork. I still need to get rid of the chrome on the door handles - horrible design with that naff chrome insert!

Looks great direct onto the front. I'm still undecided on the black grills for mine. Anybody else gone for the black grills on their Dark Graphite Metallic / Sophisto Grey G30's? If so, please share pictures, be great to see what others have done with the grills on their grey cars to get rid of the huge chrome surrounds.

Nothing like a random 65 degree day in January to get down the last coat of wax before winter!
