Well I'm not a fan of these grills getting ever bigger , let's hope bmw back off a bit with future models.
Given what they have done with the 7lci, I fear they may do the same with the g30. Let's hope not. I guess as soon as the spy shots of the lci come out we may have a better idea.

That's a lot of air intake for a turbo charged engine!

maybe G30 will be another E39, i.e. best of the design before it all goes downhill... then back up again...

not grill related, I though E60 looks like crap, F10 was huge improvement and G30 looks just way better, and of course that's just my opinion...

I agree, this is the first car that I was happier to stick with the current/previous version. Maybe BMW will take notice and not make the 5 series grills larger or out of proportion with the front of the car.

bigger grils are due to air intake but mostly they make the car lighter and are way way cheaper to make..

It's awful. It won't be long before the entire bumper becomes a grill.

I wonder if bmw are aware of these views, they must be. As the press also mention them in reviews.
I suspect that they may only make any changes if the sales figures disappoint.

Personally I would like to have a 1:1 "chat " with whoever signed this off on this trend.
