18" only on 530e?
Hi
I'm specifying a 530e Touring LCI and find that maximum rim size is 18". Anyone knows why? This is the same in the configurator for UK, Germany, others. (I know this is non-US but asking anyway) Thanks! |

I don't know if this is the reason, but 18" tires has a higher load index than 19" or 20" tires with it's lower profile.

Yes, but the g30 is lighter than the g31. Just found out that the g31 530e xdrive has a max rear axle load of 1550 kg. So the tires need to be LI99. 245/45/18 has LI100 while 245/40/19 only has LI98.
