It will as long the car goes to sleep. Otherwise your wife will simply have to lock the car and open again.

Hmmmm - I locked the car last night, got her key went back to the car, unlocked with the fob, and seat position did not change from my setting. Another issue for dealer to check.

It's likely nothing for dealer to check on rather down to the setting on iDrive. Check whether you've got last seat setting to remember.
