New BMWUSA configurator sucks!

I have no clue as to why they would fix something that wasn't broken, but the new BMWUSA configurator absolutely takes a step back on how nice it looked.

Before you had more options for views and the interior pictures weren't all up in your face.

I hope they go back to the older system as this updated one is terrible.

Only reasons I can think of is this new version is consistently viewed across desktop, mobile, and tablet screens. That and maybe their contract with the 3D interior view company expired or something because that view looks to be gone.

Either way, I and probably everyone else using the configurator agree, this new one is awful. As someone said in another thread... I hope their car quality doesn't end up looking like their site quality anytime soon.

The new web site is uber idiotic. The enlarged hyper cropped visualization for the interior options is horrible. The large font used for options well suited for blind people. Plus you can't get the whole picture of what options you selected and how that impacts the cost. Navigation sucks big time. To save a build you need to write down digits. What was wrong with storing the builds on the BMW server like before. The thing is buggy and slow. Why is it being tested on people interested in buying an expensive BMW. That is worst web site imaginable. BMW equates to great elegant German design. The new web site is just a big of pile sh1t. It must some kind of Russian cyber attack on BMW.

Also I hate that If you pick certain options it automatically changes other options i.e. you can't have black interior with piano black trim.

A tablet is much different than a desktop computer. The clientele for BMW is contemplating a very expensive purchase. Anything that handicaps the BMW clientele in their search for information is bad. The new BMW USA web site reflects very poorly on BMW.

Playing around with it today it gets added when when pick a color like carbon black metallic, it adds the price of the package but it dosent show thats its an added expect at the end in the summary its lists all the items in the M Package as $0. Its obviously broken and needs and update to say the least.

A user in Bimmerfest posted this link. Just like old buildout. Works great with no issues.
