Bluetooth Audio Issues with Android
I just picked up my 530e yesterday and love it but I can't seem to get the bluetooth audio working. I have a Google Pixel 3 and I use the Podcast Republic and Pulsar apps. Both worked fine with my last car. The phone seems to be connected to the car properly. I have no issues with phone calls. When I select bluetooth audio, it shows something about unknown artist and unknown track. When I hit play on my app it seems like the connection worked because sometimes I see the track time on the display but I don't hear any audio. There was one time that I did hear the audio but I don't know what I did differently and I can't get it to happen again.
Are there any tricks to getting this working? In the worse case, is it possible to play audio via USB since there is no AUX jack? Thanks, Mike |

If it's not a volume level issue, try deleting the BT Pairing and pair again.
I've had no issues with a Galaxy S10 in a 540i. Worst case, take car to dealer and have them do an istep upgrade. If you car production date is before April 2019, there's an upgrade available for your car.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried all different combinations of settings, etc. with no luck. Finally I tried a different podcast app (Podcast Addict) and it has been working perfectly. I don't understand why the app would be the issue, but so far I'm happy.
