So $15/yr for 20 years?
Can I buy a six year plan for $90? Why would they even do a 20 year plan? Is it transferable? I have it now for free and rarely use it so I guess I have my answer. |

From customer pricing perspective they probably should just increase overall car px by $500 and be done with it (while making more money...), no one would knew it's due to what and way less backlash

It used to be this way. It was a one-time $300 option on your window sticker. I had it on my '17 X6. It was not lifetime either - it was actually 20 years from the date of the vehicle purchase. If you didn't get CarPlay from the factory, it could be added at the dealer for the same price if your vehicle had the correct hardware. 2016-2018 vehicles.
