Your turbo coolant lines are leaking. They won't check them out until you complain of a putrid eye watering and nose burning smell coming through the vents. It will get to that point.

If you are approaching a stopped emergency vehicle, use your turn signal to stop the car from "fighting" you if you crowd the lane marker.

OP: Get the steering column replaced under warranty. It's a known issue. Mine would intermittently do it and when I mentioned it to my service advisor he said "we'll replace it and we have them in stock".

I *hate* cruise control slowing the car down in corners. I used to commute from Santa Fe, NM up to Los Alamos in my 330i GT and it drove me nuts. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off that I found (albeit I didn't look that hard). I like the g-forces in corners and we were no where near losing grip so let's go! Meh.

I'm at 36k miles and approaching my first out of dealership oil change in August (1 year, not nearly enough miles). Looking forward to sending a sample off to Blackstone and getting my hands dirty.

Off topic, but I rarely get to see Los Alamos folks on the forums so I had to comment I contemplated living in Santa Fe and doing the commute to Los Alamos everyday like many of my colleagues, but decided against it and set up base in Los Alamos instead. What a great drive though - I used to go to Santa Fe often...such smooth roads and minimal traffic! Miss it sometimes...

I couldn't find anything that met my needs in Los Alamos. Went house shopping and almost everything was going to be a complete gut to make it to my liking. If I'd have gone that way I'd have been screwed as it was right at the start of covid when I moved up there. I just gritted my teeth and watched all the crazy WRX drivers with limited skills rip up the hill.
