I am torn between doing the Dinan or Remus cat back vs just doing the resonator delete.

I don’t care about the money - I”m going to be replacing my exhuast ANYWAY as I got rear ended..so I have the funds to replace my exhaust..and I have to either buy a new stock ehxuast anyway… as my rear tip was crushed. The muffler itself is ok..but the tip was all bent up.

I am thinking of doing the OEM M performance carbon rear diffuser…and then I either leave my stock exhaust or go with quad tips.. not sure how quad tips wou would look on this setup. Here is one of hte only pics I could find of the M Performance OEM diffuser in carbon on an M550.

Would you leave the rear exhasut tips stock or do quads on this?

BTW - this rear diffuser looks like the closest thing I can get to an M5 style rear diffuser that is direct bolt on AND OEM. I don’t wnat to buy a knock off palstic trim .. I would prefer OEM quality stuff. This looks pretty nice. Just debating what exhaust to use iwth it.

So I could do quad tips and either use Dinan or Remus.. OR I’ll just replace my stock ehxuast with OEM muffler and I can do an X pipe or resonator delete to get more sound.

Anyone here have a chance to hear both options in PERSON, not just youtube clips, to know what sounds better? I know that is subjective..but myth goal is slightly louder and meaner sounding in sport mode, but I’d like to keep it chill and relaxing in comfort mode.

Several people have done the resonator delete and love it.
You can cut one out and drive it around and if you want louder noise, cut the other out.

I definitely do not like the look of this diffuser with the trap tips (and maybe even with quads). The tips look lost in there.

This is another photo of the same OEM M performance ehxuast but in black. Don’t like it? I kind of like how it looks more “Under the radar” but still has the CF trim on teh bottom…

I think for me, I’m just not a fan of an aggressive diffuser with the stock small trapezoid tips. Just looks lost. That diffuser calls for double rounds. I do like it better on the darker car though, but still not a fan of the tips in it.

Here is my diffuser with the stock tips before I upgraded. I think I like this diffuser more because it’s more understated. It doesn’t have the 90 degree box coming out of the back.
